Casitas De Victoria: A (really, really late) review

A few seconds ago, I just erased an entire blog entry mainly because it began with the sentence: "This January, we decided to go on our first family trip for 2021." Today is the 23rd of May, 2022.

The writing juju has not returned yet but we cannot wait forever, right? Out of the many manuscripts and writing tasks that I have put on hold, this blog is the easiest to get back to (mainly because it brings back happy memories and does not induce the usual panic attacks as with other manuscripts. lels.). Inday is going to be a bit rusty but here it goes.

LAST YEAR, we decided to go on our first family trip to this little gem of a resort called Casitas de Victoria. Looking for a suitable resort is always a challenge for us as we had a 12-year-old human and a 2-year-old dog in tow. This means the choices are quite limited. So we were delighted when a good friend of ours told us of this pet-friendly resort that was just a 2-hour drive away. Here is a semi-short review of our 3-night stay in Casitas de Victoria.

BOOKING
Casitas de Victoria has a website (casitasdevictoria.com) but we booked through Agoda because the rates were cheaper there, at that time. FYI, Agoda rates fluctuate as much as my emotions so you can score really good deals out of nowhere. A friend also gave us their mobile number so made it easy for us to confirm our reservation. The usual rates for the room we availed of on the site is around 8,ooo PhP but if you get lucky, you can get the rooms for as low as 6,000 PhP per night. Fluctuating like my emotions.

THE ROOM
We booked a forest casita for 4 nights which came with a free plated breakfast. The room was huge with a king bed and a day bed. There was a hot and cold shower, and all the bath essentials.

Our favorite part was the huge patio facing the farm which was the perfect place for morning coffee or dinner (if you are too lazy to walk to their restaurant).

THE FOOD
We ate all day and had cocktails almost all day (because, vacation). You do not have to worry about eating outside because the resort has less than 10 rooms on the property so it barely gets crowded, even when they're fully booked. The restaurant, like their rooms, is also spacious.

You can request to have your meals by the pool which we did most of the time. That's pizza Margherita, gambas, and fries. Eat while warm. All very good, by the way.

ACTIVITIES
Casitas has a beautiful pool and jacuzzi, surrounded by lush greenery. Pets are not allowed to go swimming in the pool but not to worry because there is plenty of space for them to run around.

If you are in the mood for some saltwater, the resort has exclusive access to Tali beach. Tali is a private beach so it's is a huge plus for us because that meant no crowds. The staff can a van to take you to the beach and bring you back to the resort. They can also arrange a boat for you if you want to go island hopping.

Casitas has a huge soccer field within their property, a great place for Isa and Garlic to get some dirt time. Check out Speedy Gonzalez in the picture below,

The property also has a farm where you can visit, best done early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

THE VERDICT
Casitas de Victoria is a gem and the resort being pet-friendly is a huge plus for us. We are looking forward to visiting again!
